Last year, LiveArts Peninsula, a St. Petersburg based theatrical production organization, had a statewide playwriting competition. I was one of 3 playwrights selected to be commissioned to write a play for "The Floridians", a production of plays and songs about Florida written by Floridians. “The Floridians” will be presented in February 2005 at the Murray Theater in Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater. The play I wrote is called BLOOD SUCKERS. It was performed in a staged reading in May and after rewrites, it'll be performed again in another staged reading in October 2004. After any needed adjustments based on that reading it’ll go into rehearsals for the February production.
